Surprise, Surprise
Now that all my mid-semester assignments are done and handed up, I now feel at a loss as to what to do.
So I blog.
When of course I should be reading manga and watching more dramas and anime. When OF COURSE I SHOULD be studying and doing research for my legal theory essay. Which OF COURSE will be the last thing on my mind right now. Which brings me back to square one: blogging.
During Net Communications class this week, our whole tutorial was spent exploring Second Life. It was pretty fun, especially since the Internet connection at Uni is pretty fast, unlike the crap reception I get at home. Anyways, so we messed about for quite a bit. Mostly though, I played with the dressing up options and clothing freebies. There were some really cool ones, very fantasy-like ones, complete with swirling robes and humongous wings. Damn fun. Plus the flying around part just makes you wanna do it all day and not stop.
But it's not a game with a POINT. I mean, unlike other games like Maplestory and World of Warcraft, there's no goal to aim for (except of course amassing virtual property, but hey you loser, won't it be better to amass property OUTSIDE the virtual world???). So yeah, 2 hours was quite enough of Second Life for me. I don't know how people can STAND to be on Second Life for longer than a day. It's so mindlessly boring and all you do is talk to random people, fly around and dance. Plus the graphics aren't fabulous anyway, so there really isn't any beauty there to appreciate. At least Maple characters are cute.
Aside from that, nougat has to be the most marvelous invention ever! I cannot comprehend how such a small object can induce so much bliss. Instant mood booster. The only drawback (IMO) is the potential tooth decay. (I mean, being a dental assistant myself, it's hard to ignore this fact, seeing as how I'm confronted with all the tools of the dentistry trade) Apparently, there was this one session at the clinic, about 1h 30min or so, and the guy said that the amount he was paying would be about how much one would pay for a car. WOW can. Just 1h 30min and *poof*, CAR! O_o No wonder so many of my friends are in dentistry. Just think of all the working incentives!
I'm getting sleepy. I always get sleepy around this time. Big Brother is going to be back on Australian TV, which SUXOR. And I hope Jack wins So You Think You Can Dance Australia. He's just so plain cute. Stream of consciousness writing is really quite pointless. I just begin to spout nonsense and contribute to the pollution.
I shall switch to being green now, and sign off.
P.S. You know the supermarkets here are trying to get the government to allow them to charge 25c for each plastic bag they give out, as an incentive for people to buy green bags? Futile I tell you. The government will do better to charge $1000 for each cigarette pack.
...is what I said. Savvy?
